'Homeopathic Doctor' and 'H.D.' is a registration category granted
by the OHA in recognition of a Homeopath's achievement in educational excellence.
This title is not at this time reflected in the Homeopathy Act, 2007,
though we continue to advocate for this title for qualified Homeopaths.

Homeopathic Doctor (HD)
and Homeopathic Practitioner (HP).
They are graduates of accredited homeopathic schools who meet the requirements and standards of the OHA, and who are of good moral character.

2. Student Membership
For students from schools in the health-care professions. Members in this category do not have voting privileges unless duly elected to the Board. Students must submit a student application form, proof of enrolment, and a $50 annual fee.

3. Honorary Membership
For individuals who, in the judgment of the Executive, have rendered exceptional service to the homeopathic profession. Members in this category will have voting privileges at the discretion of the Executive.

4. Temporary Membership
At the discretion of the Membership Committee, professional membership may be temporarily granted to applicants who are temporarily residing in Canada and who meet all the requirements and standards of the OHA with the sole exception that they are not Canadian Citizens and do not have Landed Immigrant Status. Temporary memberships will be issued for specified periods of time. Renewal of temporary membership is subject to review by the Membership Committee. Temporary members will pay the professional member fees.

5. Associate Membership
Professional members who are taking a year off from practicing may pay a reduced annual membership fee to maintain their status as a member in good standing. Associate members will not be listed on the OHA’s website or be given referrals. Should an associate member resume their practice, they are to report any such change to the Association and resume paying Professional Membership fees. Associate Membership fees shall be $120 per year.
