OHA Membership (continued)

Eligibility for Professional Registration as a Homeopathic Doctor (H.D.):

The Ontario Homeopathic Association has set the highest standards of education for Homeopathic Doctors in North America. Qualified practitioners registered with the OHA's Registry of Homeopathic Doctors must have professional training from a recognized homeopathic college and must meet the following standards: 

CRITERION 1: Medical Sciences Courses

The following courses with minimum lecture hours are required:

Anatomy & Physiology  250 hrs
Biochemistry 50 hrs
Pharmacology 60 hrs
Toxicology 50 hrs
Community Health 28 hrs
Physio-Pathology 192 hrs
Differential Diagnosis 42 hrs
Laboratory Analysis 42 hrs
Physical Examination 72 hrs
Emergency Medicine 35 hrs

The above courses must be taught by specialty accredited Canadian College and University-level teachers. Outlines must reflect the medical nature of the courses.

CRITERION 2: Homeopathic Instruction

750 hours of homeopathic instruction are required. 

CRITERION 3: Clinical Internship

A clinical internship of 1,100 hours is required.
