CRITERION 5: North American Licensed Medical Doctors

North American licensed medical doctors require the following instruction in Homeopathy with an accredited institution: 600 to 800 hours of homeopathic classes and 400 to 600 hours of clinical internship. There must be a minimum of 1200 hours of instruction. Subject to in-house assessment by the Membership Committee.

Note:
The Board of Examiners of the Ontario Homeopathic Association reserves the right to recommend further upgrading or to deny registration to an applicant. H.D. membership may be conditionally granted to prospective members who do not meet the complete H.D. standards as set by the Association. These applicants will be required to submit a signed letter of intent stating their commitment to upgrade their credentials.

'Homeopathic Doctor' and 'H.D.' is a registration category granted
by the OHA in recognition of a Homeopath's achievement in educational excellence.
This title is not at this time reflected in the Homeopathy Act, 2007,
though we continue to advocate for this title for qualified Homeopaths.
