Heather Caruso, BSc, DHMS, HD, Classical
Homeopath, started practicing homeopathic medicine as it is a complete
system of medicine and can help a wide variety of ailments with no side
effects. In 2001 she was a Member of the Board of Directors for the
Ontario Homeopathic Association. Heather earned a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Toronto and has completed an extensive three year program at the Homeopathic College of Canada. The program had comprehensive science training, such as anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, toxicology, pathology and physical examination. It also required a three year clinical externship with over 1,100 hours of hands on homeopathic training. In practice Heather Caruso uses homeopathic medicine, nutritional supplements and diet regime. Using these methods she treats a wide variety of cases from acute to chronic. She notes that Homeopathy is not to replace Medical Doctors but to work with them. This way the patient gets the best of both worlds. Heather has taken various post graduate courses on homeopathy and nutrition to continually upgrade her homeopathic knowledge and expand her clinical practice. She also works with other practitioners, like M.D.s, chiropractors, nutritionists and others because she believes there is no better way to combat illness than using an integrative approach. To help educate the public, Heather has published educational articles on Homeopathy and health for a local alternative health magazine. She has made various television appearances. For example, she was interviewed on the Body and Health Show to discuss the homeopathic approach to health for women's conditions. She was interviewed on CTV news on the homeopathic approach to influenza.
