 Provincial Regulation ApplicationThe OHA had the good fortune of resubmitting the application for the regulation of the homeopathic profession. We were delighted with the Ministry's interest in updating and reviewing our material. Early in January/02, OHA representatives attended the Ministry of Health meeting that announced the forthcoming regulation of Naturopathic Medicine. Naturopathic Medicine is to be regulated! The regulation of Naturopathic Medicine now awaits proclamation in the provincial legislature. With all the complementary and alternative modalities seeking regulation, the time is right for Homeopathy to be recognized for the valuable system of medicine that it is. Our increased efforts on behalf of the regulation of our profession came as a result of these announcements and subsequent meeting held by the OHA with the Ministry of Health and their recommendation that we update our regulation package. Stay tuned as we lobby and work towards increasing the profile of Homeopathy in Ontario. We are proud and happy to be moving forward in the pursuit of this very important benchmark for our profession.
