UPDATE APRIL 2007 - Regulation (Click Here)

The Ontario Homeopathic Association (OHA), founded in 1992, has established the highest standards of care for the homeopathic medical profession in the province of Ontario. Professional ethics and standards of this discipline bind all members. Through the OHA, the public is assured of a professional, ethical and qualified practitioner.

The OHA ensures exemplary standards of quality care by designating "Homeopathic Doctor" as part of its certification process. Homeopathic Doctors are the best trained, most qualified and knowledgeable practitioners in the homeopathic field.

With its ongoing commitment to quality care, and because professional regulation is a matter of provincial jurisdiction, the OHA has embarked on the regulatory process through the Ministry of Health in Ontario.

The Ontario Homeopathic Association looks forward to continuing its commitment to the public, its members and the homeopathic profession.

'Homeopathic Doctor' and 'H.D.' is a registration category granted by the OHA in recognition of a Homeopath's achievement in educational excellence. This title is not at this time reflected in the Homeopathy Act, 2007, though we continue to advocate for this title for qualified Homeopaths.
